Swimming is a great method if you are looking for how to get buff.  There are many different strokes that you can use while swimming and there are therefore many different ways to build up your muscles. 

1)      There is the butterfly. The butterfly is a very good exercise for training up your pectoral muscles however it is difficult to do correctly and master.  The butterfly is done by swinging both of your arms around above your head at the same time to propel you through the water. The butterfly also uses lots of energy and will therefore burn lots of calories which make it a great method when looking for how to get buff. The butterfly uses the dolphin kick.

2)      Front crawl. When looking for how to get buff, the front crawl is a easy to do stroke that just about anyone can do. The front crawl is done by rotating your arms one then the other forward to propel you through the water. Every second stroke of our arm you take a breath by turning your head to the side.  The front crawl uses the flutter kick that works by moving your feet up and down.

3)      The side crawl. This stroke is done kind of like the front crawl except it is done on one side of your body with your face out of the water the whole time. The flutter kick is also used in this stroke and it is also useful if you want to know how to get buff.

4)      Backstroke. This stroke is done on your back with arms rotating backwards instead of forwards. This stroke can be done with the flutter kick. This stroke is basically the opposite of the front crawl and it is useful if you want to travel quickly through the water without having to time your breathing. You can use this stroke leisurely at your own pace when looking for how to get buff.

5)      Lastly is the dog paddle. The dog paddle may not be considered an actual stroke to some people but it helps you travel through the water nonetheless. The dogpaddle is done by keeping your legs lower than your hands and using both your legs and hands to paddle yourself through the water. I do not recommend this stroke when looking for how to get buff.

Swimming is arguably the best method of staying fit and healthy because of the fact that it works all of your body’s muscles to help you move through the water. When looking for how to get buff it is important that you consider and use all of your options to stay healthy.
