These exercise types focus on the different parts of your body that they work while you are doing the exercise. Firstly there are single muscle exercises to help you get abs at home. These exercises work only one part or one muscle type when you are doing them. These exercises focus on that muscle only and are good if you want to work out only that muscle and do not care about the others.

 Multi area exercises are different from single area ones in the fact that they work more than one area of your body at once. These exercises are good at strengthening many muscles at one time and they are also able to help you burn fat depending on how difficult and vigorous the exercise is. Push-ups could be considered a multi area exercise to help you get abs at home.

Full body exercises are the best for burning fat and they are great tools to help you get abs at home. Full body exercises are exercises that work out your entire body and strengthen it at the same time. They may not be able to strengthen a specific muscle as much as the other types of exercises but they are the masters of burning fat. Full body exercises will be vigorous and will burn up a lot of your energy along with calories. To get abs at home you have to pick the right type of exercise. If you have too much body fat for the type of body you are aiming for I recommend that you start with a full body exercise. If you have the correct amount of body fat but you are looking for a method to build some muscle then you should start with multi area exercises or specific area exercise.  Doing these things along with a healthy diet will mean you will be well on your way to get abs at home.
